Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data Nardo Rent a Car collects when you request a booking, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Who is responsible for your data

What data we collect
When you send a booking request we collect: your name, phone number and email address; the vehicle, rental dates, pickup location and driving type you choose; and the price of the booking. For security and fraud prevention we also automatically record your IP address. We do not collect your ID, passport or driving-licence numbers through the website — these are only checked in person at pickup. We do not process any special categories of data (such as health, religion or biometric data).
Why we use it
We use your data solely to handle your booking request: to contact you, confirm the reservation, prepare the vehicle, keep our rental and invoice records, and prevent fraudulent or abusive requests. We do not use it for advertising and we do not sell it.
Legal basis
We process your data to take steps at your request before entering into a contract and to perform the rental contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); to comply with legal accounting and tax obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR); and, for fraud prevention, on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
How long we keep it
• Completed bookings and invoice records: kept for approximately 10 years, as required by accounting and tax legislation, then deleted. • Cancelled or rejected requests, and stored IP addresses: kept for up to 12 months, then deleted. • Unconfirmed requests (where the email link was never clicked): deleted automatically after 24 hours. Data is removed automatically once its retention period ends.
Who we share it with
Your data is stored on servers operated by netcup GmbH (Germany), our hosting provider, under a data processing agreement. Booking and confirmation emails are delivered through Resend, our email provider. These providers process data only on our instructions. We do not share your data with anyone else, except where required by law.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access the data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@nardorentacar.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in North Macedonia.
Cookies
Our website uses only strictly necessary cookies: one to remember your language choice, and one for the administrator login. We do not use tracking, analytics or advertising cookies, so no cookie-consent banner is required.
Security
The website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and access to booking data is protected by administrator authentication. Our hosting provider maintains ISO 27001-certified security measures.
